WHO THE HELL IS DJ DUB?Hailing from deepest, darkest South London and growing up in the countryside Dub is an urban country gent who has been on the London DJ scene for more than two decades, rocking venues all over the big smoke, the rest of the UK and beyond. His sets are a dizzying blend of musical styles weaving their way from Hip Hop to House, Dubstep to Drum & Bass, Reggae to Rock, Soul to R&B, Uk Garage to Grime, Disco to Funk, Afrobeat to Electronica a roller-coaster ride through almost every genre of music you've ever heard of and a few he just made up. Dub has also dipped his toe into the murky waters of the DVJ, performing the now legendary DVJ set Music To Drive Cars By at the Formula 1 Bahrain Grand Prix in 2006 and 2007. More recently Dub was Riz MC's DVJ in the groundbreaking MICroscope show at Glastonbury & Latitude 2010.Dub has also produced radio shows for Soho Radio & Invader FM UK Finalist in The Red Bull Thre3style competition 2011. Dub also produces check out his Soundcloud. Winner of 'IDJ Mixtape Of The Month' in June 2002 and finalist in DJ Idol 2007. A sometime journo Dub has written music, club and gig reviews for Hip Hop Connection, Channel U & We Luv Milk. Resident DJ for Baby Loves Disco & has produced a series of DJ Tutorial Podcasts in conjunction with i-Amplify. This follows on from the continued success of his DJ courses, providing DJ workshops for the Prince's Trust Urban Music Festival in '04 & '05, Lambeth Crime Prevention Trust, Southwark Youth Services, Connextions, The Pupil Parent Partnership and Wac Arts College.
